Does it frustrate you and grieve you when your own children don’t listen to you, don’t obey you, don’t show you love? Does it hurt you when they don’t want to spend time with you, when they consistently choose their friends, TV and sports and other things over you? Does it sadden you when they choose to remain in sin? When they choose to reject your discipline and choose not to confess and repent?
