Jesus, “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.”
Disciples, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”
Jesus, “Does this OFFEND you?”
From that time MANY of His DISCIPLES went back (to the old way of life, sin) and FOLLOWED HIM NO MORE.
When we dine on the true Bread of Life we will surely encounter moments where we are offended by His truth because it collides with our wrong way of thinking and living. We can either humble ourselves, repent and submit to His leadership or, we will choose to remain offended and reject His truth, going back to being children of Satan.
